Personal site of Sue Holt.
Sexually abused as a child and diagnosed with bipolar disorder Sue, reveals the pain of mental illness and being a patient within the psychiatric system, Sue highlights areas that are considered to be taboo by many.
Sue is a poet and author of “Poems of Survival” and “Depression Ate My Soul” in which she expresses her inner pain, despair and horror . Her poetry is raw and gritty but also leaves you with a glimmer of hope.
Sue has a strong Christian faith that comes across in her writing.
Sue is a highly creative and spiritual being who just so happens to also have a mental illness.
Her faith in the Lord radiates, her testimony to God's love and strength of human spirit.
The site reveals many of her own qualities through her work
“Poetry reflecting life's journey” contains poetry and inspirational thoughts which reveal the highs and lows of life, using the power of faith and the pen to triumph over adversity
One aim of "Poetry reflecting life's journey" is Sue's desire to reach out to others in similar position. I have to say with all honesty that Sue more than achieves this.

My sister, it is so awesome what the Lord is doing in your life. My heart goes out to you for all you have suffered in life, but out of that tragedy my spirit rejoices at what the Lord is doing to, though and for you now!!~~
I visited your website and was blessed by the poetic gift the Lord has blessed you with. Your other writing is articulate. Praise the Lord!!!~~~
The ministry the Lord has set before you is unlimited and the need for someone in place for such a time as this is absolutely necessary.
I am a minister and one of the focusesof my ministry is mental illness (as I will be dealing with some that are homeless for this reason.) There is so much hurt and pain out there and the Lord is using you to ease some of it. Prayerfully. To God be the power and the glory. May He cause His face to shine on you. _________________ Step outside the familiar, embrace change and the unknown, WITH FAITH, and EXPAND. |

Hello pud,
I am also a fellow believer who has been diagnosed a pchysophrenic, sorry I can't spell. But, I have to ask this question of any who have seen or talked to the Lord. Just because a person has an experience with the Lord does that really mean...we are nuts? YSIC hannah fievel |

Dear Hannah,
Just happen to read your posting.
Yes, we are called fools by the world. The ungodly sees us as nuts.
But praise God, He uses the "foolish" to present His wisdom.
1 Cor 4:10 We are fools for Christ's sake.
1 Cor 1:27 But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;
Tiresome we fight the GOOD fight.
Tireless He blesses wherever He can.
Meaningless man fights His Will.
Meaningful He provides for All.
Our wisdom is foolish in His sight.
His Wisdom uses the world's fool,
May we become that kind of a fool,
so we can be "use-fool" in His Kingdom
Let the wisdom of the Lord speak,
so the fool will be silenced.

Please, read what happen to me after I was sick and tired of being a fool in this sinful world.

Wow, thank you sooo much Ferryman! What a wonderful testamony. Mine is almost more insane than hers...I sometimes feel ashamed to tell my story. It is a full length mini series on how I came to know our Lord. Maybe one day I will have time to sit and write it all out.
The one most outstanding thing that did happen...As a jewish evil little teenager and into my twenties...I hated G-d with a passion, He was the deliever of "suffering and pain" that was according to my mom, He was the ultimate punisher. With that said "yes, I did OD or pass out or died, not sure which...but the Lord "came to me" and pulled me from that pit I had dug myself into and saw no way out. But, just the words of "You are not living your life according to the Fathers will for you" was all I needed to hear. One day on the 11th of January I was a heathen...on the 12th of January "I WAS ALL HIS"....and then the mental institutes came when "mother" had thought I had lost it totally. Now I will admit "I was a little out there being thrown about like a rag doll, satan pulling me down and sounding "insane" and then back to normal "when the Lord would step in and show me something I didn't know" and everything He taught me was "already in the bible, and I had no clue!!!
He showed me all of revelations first, then I got some formal teachings from a pastor in a church, now I am just walking with HIM...as most churches are only interested in making money and filling pews, and worse than that "The Gospel message was seldom mentioned in the thirty odd churches I tried" ! Well, now I have many many real Christian brothers and sisters I have found right here on the web! Now, that is a miracle in itself, amen! Thanks again for that ladies web site, I did enjoy reading that "I am not the only one "insane for the Lord". YSIC hannah to meet you! |

The following is my "story" of salvation
BROKEN CHAINS (1)
I thought I knew you Lord today you showed me, how wrong I was.
I was sitting in a very deep pit deep and dark with slippery sides
the more I attempted to climb those walls
the more I became covered in sticky secretions
Which further hampered my movements.
I called out to you for mercy you answered my call
you came to my assistance offering me new life
you sat on the edge of the pit with your hand out stretched to me
forgive me Lord for not answering your call.
I continued to struggle in the pit of despair
becoming more and more entrenched in the filth that was there.
Again and again I prayed for an end to the pain
yet I ignored you and your gift of love.
You have so much compassion you could not bear to witness
my pain.
so my Lord you leapt into the darkness
alongside me to comfort me and to relieve me of my anguish
fighting demons on my behalf.
Today, Lord you whispered gently in my mind
you chastised me sweetly.
You told me you could no longer stay with me in my pit.
It was time to move on together.
You took my hand in yours saying trust me with all your heart
With your awesome power you filled my pit with radiant light
and turned it on to its side
Lord you lead me out by your side
We walked through a green field and came to a rusty gate
barred by chains and locks barbed wire.
one word from you, the bolts slid away the chains were broken in two.
As we stepped through the gate it immediately closed behind us
new signs appeared saying keep out trespassers will be shot.
You lead me through a spring meadow full of fresh green growth
daffodils gently swaying in the breeze
you lead me to a wooden bench looking out at a vast lake
you told me to rest and be at peace at last.

Dear Hannah,
Yes, God is good and I'm glad He grabbed you right in time too.
The Holy Spirit knows when we are ready to accept the Savior.
I have one bit of Godly advice for you.
NEVER brood upon your past, but turn your eyes upon Jesus and look full in His wonderful face. And the things of this old world will grow strangely dim, in the LIGHT of His Glory and Grace.
Whom the Son set free is free indeed. As born-again believer, you can shake off the past and all misery attached to that. You don't even need to repeat detail of the past in written or spoken form.
God's word teaches something better; secrets of His word:
Philippians 4:8...Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy - meditate on THESE things.
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18...Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
Psalm 37:4-5... Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord, trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass.
God's word is the POWER for each believer, but we must use it in all situations. Meditate on His word and it will become life to your soul.
"EAT" it and you will never hunger again. "DRINK" and your thurst will be quenched.
Blessings in Jesus.
